About
I am a creative editorial and brand leader with over 15 years of experience in journalism and media — primarily in travel, parenting, health, and lifestyle content. I've spent my career conceptualizing and implementing functional and sustainable content strategies across diverse industries, and leading my teams large and small through unprecedented growth while prioritizing authentic, mission-driven storytelling.
I ensure that content cements the brand as a thought leader while optimizing audience reach, engagement, and retention. I enhance the visibility of a publication, company, or nonprofit through the definition of its clear vision and voice. I employ a data-driven but human-first approach that integrates SEO techniques to elevate content quality while consistently protecting brand integrity and amplifying diverse and marginalized voices. I'm proficient in print, digital, social, email, and snail mail. I'm a copyeditor for life—and on my watch, no stray comma is safe. I lead with empathy above all.
I'm from NYC but currently living in Nashville and often found on the road / around the globe. I'm a graduate of Vassar College (BA), New York University (MA), and have also studied at St. Andrews University in Scotland, The Center for Book Arts, and the Unterberg Poetry Center at 92Y. I was a writer in residence at Rivendell Writer's Colony, a poet with The Porch's Poetry on Demand / Versify podcast on NPR, and have held editorial leadership positions at renowned national and global publications, from Refinery29 to Parents to the BBC. l have appeared across the industry as a conference speaker, panel moderator, and podcast host.
